1946
Supplied new to City Coach Company Ltd., numbered LD1, brown with cream
relief and some red.
1952
City taken over by Westcliff-on-Sea Motor Services (an Eastern National
subsidiary). Repainted into Westcliff colours with Westcliff fleet name --
Westcliff fleet unnumbered.
1954
Transferred to Eastern National, when Westcliff was fully absorbed into
parent company. It was repainted green with cream relief; numbered 1112.
1958
Converted to open top by Eastern National. At that time it and the other
Eastern National PD1s were the most modern permanently open top buses in the
U.K. The livery was reversed to cream with green relief.
1961
Used by Tottenham Hotspur FC for their victory parade when the team won "The
Double", and as such appeared in the national newspapers and on television.
On this occasion it was back on the roads it had operated as a covered top
bus.
1964
Renumbered 2102
1965
Purchased by S.V.P.G. Selected out of 11 available vehicles -- the 12th
Eastern National open top PD1 had earlier been sold to a film company in the USA.
1966
European tour accompanied by ex London Transport TD 95, JXC 288 (now
preserved at Cobham Bus Museum) to France, Belgium, West Germany,
Czechoslovakia, Austria, Hungary, Yugoslavia, Italy and Switzerland.
1967
Visited France, Spain and Portugal.
1968
Visited France, Belgium, West Germany, Austria, Yugoslavia, Bulgaria,
Greece, Yugoslavia, Italy and Switzerland.
1969
Visited France, Spain and Portugal.
1987
Completion of full restoration and re-certification.
